Diapers are very often used to manage incontinence, both as a short or long term solution. They typically are at the "high end" of the range of absorbent products to manage incontinence. Adult diapers are also often called adult briefs or fitted briefs. They are divided into 2 main categories:
They are available in different sizes (usually S, M, L and XL), brands (including house brands), and degrees of protection (absorbsion). Some have elastic leg gathers and waistbands for a better fit and less chances of leakage. They usually have either 4 or 6 tapes, the extra tapes generally makes for a better fit. Most also have wetness indicators as well as odor control.
Cloth diapers are reusable. They are bulkier than disposables, and are worn with plastic pants over them. They are cheaper long term than disposables, but you do have to deal with the hassle of washing and drying them. Some people prefer cloth to disposables for comfort and because they tend to leak less.
